Sometime back, I wrote a post about the many ways big data is changing the sports industry landscape (here). One of the themes that I had covered in the article was the effort stakeholders are making to draw the fans back to the stadiums and event venues. Recently, researchers at the Northwestern University School of Professional Studies conducted a thorough research on collective efforts that are being made specifically in this direction.
