Infographic: With $740 million funding globally, analytics startups defy slowdown concerns in October

Last month (October 2015), funding of big data and analytics startups continued to soar despite various rumors on adverse economic outlook floating around. According to our data estimates, a total of $741 million was invested in 27* startups across the globe. Leading the pack was ZestFinance, the fintech startup, which raised debt financing funding with $150 million. Among the industries, cyber-security lead the pack with more than $167.5 million funding raised by eight startups. Fintech and sales/ marketing segments also garnered $100 million+ funding. The list also had some novel startups ranging from gesture recognition predictive algorithms to product analytics . What was also encouraging was to witness notable number of innovative startups from countries such as Israel, India, Austria and Singapore.
